Supreme Security Systems’ COO to Present at Americas’ Fire & Security Expo, July 19-21 in Miami

David Bitton will Discuss the Relationship Between IT and Physical Security and Security Concerns for VoIP Customers at Annual Safety and Security Event

UNION, New Jersey, June 28, 2005 — Supreme Security Systems, the largest independent, full-service electronic security provider in New Jersey, today announced that its vice president and COO David Bitton has been selected as a featured speaker for Americas’ Fire and Security Expo (AFSE), July 19-21, 2005, in Miami, Florida.  David has been selected to speak on two different topics: the relationship between IT and physical security and security concerns for VoIP customers.

Americas' Fire & Security Expo, is Latin America’s, the Caribbean Basin’s and the Southeastern United States’ leading event for leaders and decision-makers in the fire safety and security industries. Specifically, AFSE is designed for security professionals tasked with fire protection systems and equipment, special hazards, chemical and hazardous material storage and handling, building fire protection. The event includes over 50 conference seminars and workshops.

David’s presentation “The Marriage of IT and Security” will be held on July 20 2005 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:50 a.m.  This presentation will provide insight into the benefits of an IT and security union and strategies for creating a lasting, successful relationship to protect the company’s human, information and physical assets.

The presentation “Security Concerns for VoIP Customers” will also be held on July 20 2005, and will run from 10:00 am to 10:50am. David will focus on security concerns for customers with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), a technology enabling customers to make telephone calls utilizing broadband Internet connection rather than regular phone lines. Specifically, David will address how vulnerabilities such as signal distortion, power failure, line seizure and service outages can potentially disable or disrupt burglar/fire alarms and emergency services.

As Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Supreme Security Systems, David is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business. Dave provides guidance and oversees a number of internal departments, including operations, IT, customer service and sales to ensure that the strategic plans of the company are integrated into all key functions of the business. Before returning to Supreme in 2002, Dave worked in web application development at Capital IQ, Inc. and BANKLINK, Inc. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Engineering Sciences from Drexel University.
